In the MicroStation V8i version there were the "componentview" keyins. Our customers in the automotive industry and in pipeline construction use this intensively, e.g. to be able to highlight pipelines in transparent models or to be able to display collisions across many models. We used the functions:

"componentview viewupdates on/off"

"componentview clearfeatured"

"componentview model transparency on/off"

"componentview setfeaturedgroup xxx"

These keyins are no longer available in the MicroStation Connect version. There is said to be an itemView API, but it is not publicly accessible. It would certainly be a great asset for many MicroStation users if these functions were also available under Connect.
