The pull-down menus are missing. Just yesterday I was looking for "Select by Attributes" and could not find it. I finally switched to another ribbon and then was able to find it. The pull-down menu allowed you access to a lot of tools which are harder to find in the ribbon, which is a part of "switching between tools".
