Right now, when I try to do a clip reference or mask reference on a reference that uses live nesting, I can only do it on the single reference, which masks or clips every reference. I would like the ability to clip or mask a single nested reference. For example, if I have the survey file and features file referenced into file A, and then I reference file A into file B using live nesting, I would like to be able to clip or mask the survey file nested reference in file B only, so it doesn't clip or mask the features file.
My application of this would be in plan production. When creating sheet models and we create drawing models, the drawing models use a nested reference to display what's in the design model. I would like to create multiple sheets from the same named boundary for phasing, and then have different displays for each of the drawing models, like the survey clipped out in a later phase after the earlier phase removes that portion of the existing.
This could also be useful to mask/clip graphic elements while not masking the imagery layer & vice-versa.
