Hi, in the webinar "Answer Hour: MicroStation – Working with Text - Part II, Troubleshooting" it was shown how to create a custom date format used with text fields by editting/copying "C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\Default\Data\DateTimeFormats.xml" and adding the custom format.
1) Bug: In the dimension tool there is a standard format of "MU Label-SU Label" with a dash (ie 5'-6"), which is the standard for our industry. When placing a field inside a text element, this standard format is missing--the closest thing is "MU Lable SU Label" with a space instead of a dash. I consider this omission a bug that should be fixed.
2) Enhancement Idea: The date format is found in a user-modifiable text file. It would be nice to have a text file to define the formats of linear numbers and also angular numbers. (IE, Date Formats, Linear Formats, and Angular Formats).
