In V8i a linear pattern follows an arc and a curve with maximum deviation = tolerance value. In the CONNECT Editon this tolerance value disappeared. And the key-in "active pattern tolerance 0.1" also doesn't have effect. In CONNECT Edition any linear pattern is a straight pattern from begin to end when constructed over an arc with a large radius (say a radius of 200 meters or more the deviation becomes 1.6 meters or more).
