CVR is available in the View Toolbox. The old CVR tool is an extremely useful tool that allows the user to quickly rotate the view precisely. It is much less fatiguing and easier to use compared to using RV= key ins.
See ACAD / Revit ViewCube which is used quite a lot and very well received.
The current CVR implementation has a lot of UI problems as it is not fully integrated with the rest of the Viewing command updates. CVR does not appear to be updated when a view angle changes. User has to click on the View Nr box to synch with the current view angles. It also annoyingly does not save the step angle settings always defaulting to 1 deg... which forces the user to re-input the last setting use. All of which makes it very clumsy and at odds with the quick worflow that is expected when dealing with viewing the model when working,
Also does not integrate with the View Prev / Next buffer. This makes it more difficult and clumsy to use.
Including options for ACS would also be good.
In a former life I worked on a screen menu that tried to address this. The screen menu used built-in VBA functions to drive some pre-set angles. So, the code is already there it just needs an updated interface.
