View independent lock only X, Y or Z

Hi!
View independent is an amazing tool, but! It would be even more amazing to be able to lock the independecy to either X, Y or Z.
For example:
I would like to put trees that look the same from all angles but that are only a 2D representation of that tree. The tree has to be locked so it "spins around" its own axis. With the view independent today this is not possible since the tree would spin in all directions.

    Hi Jan,

Grant is correct is you create your cell as a point cell will always maintain display that it was originally created in. This allows the cell to look the same from all angles regardless of view orientation.

Make your trees a point cell. They will look wrong in a plan view, but they will look correct in elevation views.
