The number of files users have to navigate through is ever increasing. All engineering projects tend to use a project-wide numbering system (usually based on PAS 1192-2 / ISO 19650 standard). This leaves a lot to be desired when searching for files, especially .dgns. Pdfs tend to be easier as Windows Explorer / Acrobat can be configured to show the thumbnails. The same goes for Revit .rfa files.
It would be great help if .dgns could be saved with a designated view to automatically form the thumbnail. See this view where dgns and interspersed with .rfa's which are so much more visible.
There is apparently a thumbnail preview tool and a MS_THUMBNAIL config variable. Could this be moved as setting to the Preferences area in the Backstage?
