Dataclean up + Display Rules => CVE Hide + Replace

Transfered from EAP Ideas list
Would it be possible to enhance the Dataclean up tools to work with CVE's?
It would be good to be able add a 'post processing' layer to the DV/CVE process.
At the moment, there is still a lot of duplication and embellishement required to produce presentation quality output.
In addition to 'hiding' partial overlapping elements, the Cleanup tools should also be allowed to hide and replace them with 'cleaner' geometry.
Examples:
1. Clean up partial overlaps by hiding them and replacing them with a chained up element.
2. Hide and replace the elements 'sectioned' on the cut plane with a Complex Shape 'flood'-generated from the 'hull' profile of the cut elements.
3. The Complex shape can then be used to select other elements for 'hiding' or other processing. One common problem that always needs 'manual intervention' is whne you have lots of closely spaced lines as a result of the view angle. This can anything, ranging from facade details, standing seams on roofs etc. Because the lines are so closely spaced, the 'pop out' and threaten to drown out the section graphics, which means that they need to be either re-symbolised / greyed iout, of deleted / thinned out. It would be good if the Cleanup tools could help by producing a boundary or hull that be handed to Hide + Replace or Fence operation.
4. The CVE hidden line process doesn't always trim the elements accurately, even with highest settings. It would be good to be able to allow the user to 'fix' the problem areas using some automation-assissted means. For example the section cut graphics should always trim any overlapping forward view graphics.
5. ???
