3d--pdfs are fantastic to use. Still I can see the following 1- tool to adjust centre for rotation in the pdf 2- hide (selected element) in view 3- (stated earlier) list of Named Groups so when selected only the NG is visible.
Appreciate the suggestion that you have made. However, these suggestions seemed to be more relevant for Adobe capabilities with the pdf than MicroStation creation of the 3d pdf.
I don't know if they necessarily don't care but Adobe did licensed or purchased/implemented u3d file format support and embedded it inside Acrobat. Their level of further development of this format is unknown at this time.

And who would make that happen?
And isn't there some javscrips packed into the pdf?
At least #2 and #3 should be doable that way.

Hi Thomas,
We are continuing to evaluate if what you are asking is possible to implement from the Bentley product's side only.

Do I remember correctly/is it still so that 3d-pdfs is left by itself meaning that Adobe doesn't care about them?
