Parametric Solid Features can already be suppressed. This ability should be extended to Constraints.
1. This should allow features to be moved / re-positioned more easily. Say we have a feature or element that is constrained to one edge but needs to be copied and re-attach onto another. It would help if the constraint did not have to be re-created. Instead the user would suspend the Constraint, move/copy the element, and then re-attach the Constraint onto the desired element.
2. This should also allow the user to 'override' the value of parameter using Accudraw. A lot of the dimensional control of the Parametric Solid/Cell will be given 'default' values that will need to be changed to suit the context the Solid/Cell is dropped into. It would be very clunky if all of that had to be done via the Dialog box (ArchiCAD/Trifoma-style circa 1998). Better to be able to use Accudraw or a Handle to temporary turn the dimensional Variable into a 'reporting' parameter.
3. Temporary suspension of the Constraints would also be needed when the user needs to copy an element with Constraints attached. The Constraints attached would be copied with the element but suspended. This would allow the user to re-attach them to new elements in a new context.
