When making a render, in addition to informing the used render, and the resolution, which also shows the chosen environment, so that we can repeat a render later in the same conditions.
FWIW I usually make a copy of the Light Setup, Environment Setup, and Render Setup and give them each the same name. I include specific info such as location, date, etc... This give me a uniquely named "set" of setups designed to work together for specific results.
Models have a Name and a Description. Levels have a Name and a Description, References have too. Why is that not the same with Environment, Lights and Render Setup? And have that displayed where appropriate.

It would be good to include camera position and other information.
The BIM guys have something called BCF which could be useful as it is an open format.
