1) Add an alpha mode to increment text
With an increment of 1 Alpha mode would Increase 11A to 11B, ..., 11Z, 11AA etc
2) Add first and/or last option so"T22a" could be incremented to both "U22a" and "T22b" or "U23b" if numeric was also on
3) Tools should also work on text nodes such asX 123 Y 456
Here is another tool that uses alpha increment. It could be adapted to do exactly what you need.
BUGVA_Place_Increment_Text.mvba This is an application to place incrementing text, both Numeric and Alpha, and with or without a prefix and or suffix. It will also check to see if a duplicate value is already in the active file.
