When we select some of the pattern tools: "hatch area" , "crosshatch area", etc... the tool setting window should have a preview to show how it will be the pattern according our set.
In my case, I have to pick inside the element to get the result pattern and then UNDO the operation if I want to try with another parameter valuesdue to I don't like the previous pattern (spacing and angle).. overall spacing.
