A lot of us use Microstation mostly for basic drafting.
My Select Services contract is going up to about a thousand per year.
I really just need access to software upgrades, to keep from needing to buy the software again ($7000 1st time).
I've looked at the newer features, which I've been told are the main reason for the big increase. None of it is stuff I would use. Most of it seems more like Bentley marketing than user enhancement.
Even the technical support has proved inadequate in the many years I've used it.
So how about A Selective Services Essential (or Barebones or Lite) for like $400 a year? Please
I also guess that a lot of us are not pleased about the responsiveness to requests (wherever they were created) Experiences are no good. Complicated. Processes appear build to deter. I assume that many are giving up early. That appears to be kind of a "business standard" though... Anybody trying to really help enhancing the software (inside and outside the company) seems at some point to "give up and live with it" one way or another...(?) ...So sad... I have been there for long. Hanging in for lack of alternatives - aka. customers require you to deliver in dgn - is not enough to make a happy user base. (OK, I notice now that I sound like a certain guy that was just voted out of office)
