In our office it is a current standard to keep callout text left justified. it is more in line with the idea that the English language is read from left to right, so right justifying is more difficult for the eye to follow. I have seen a few posts on this topic in the forum from many years ago but nothing was ever really resolved.
Other CAD platforms have a feature that allows the inline leader to extend to text. Microstation does not seem to have this capability. Below are some examples
MicroStation: Note the leader does not extend into the box to the last piece of text. There is no option to enable this in the dimension style editor or the text style editor.
AutoCAD / Civil 3d:
The idea would be to include this level of functionality either as a default behavior if no text frame is present and if text is left justified OR at least able to be enabled via a checkbox similar to the functionality above. Thoughts?
It will look nice with plain note text but we have an ability to place note with many types of frames. Extending In-line leader up to the short text (as shown in images) will insert through the frames which may look bad.
since this was moved to the new platform for ideas, it seems to have dropped the image so I have gone ahead and attached an image file to demonstrate what it is I am looking for.
