Delete vertex and Break element tool modifications

Delete vertex tool will delete multiple vertices without the user being prompted about it.
Break elements tools (all) will removed vertices without theuser being prompted about it.
Since these tools do not inform the user that other vertices will be removed with this tool, I suggest (a warning perhaps!) some sort of toggle on the tools or in the user pref that can turn this on/off. In the case that I need a bunch of points along a line, it is very frustrating that these frequently used tools will do this. I was thinking that there could also be something as simple as a 'Delete Single Vertex' OR 'Delete Multiple Vertices' once you activate the command(s).
My biggest concern is the warning of the user. I have been using Connect for some time now andI am just noticing this as a problem because clients are sending information back to me that needs 'fixing'when I know for a fact that I placed those extra vertices on that line(s) and did not remove them nor ask Connect to remove them. Now I am running through all the tools/online to find out what other surprises I might find like this.

This is a larger issue than it may seem- this issue can reduce nodes/vertices on lines that are incorporated into terrain models and also can create erroneous crossing features in a terrain model that is very difficult and time consuming to address. Any tool that deletes features of a line that are not explicitly chosen by the user should be addressed.

    Hello Bentley,

We've (TopoDOT) been seeing this issue within our client base (for both MS and ORD, but not limited to) time and time again over the years and it's fairly frustrating for those folks who are unaware of the problem until it's too late. Would this be the best channel to submit our concerns (and future concerns) or should we try another avenue? If this is the best channel then we will continue to promote it :-)

Since we are an application to Bentley, a lot of our team members and clients are well versed in the MS environment - which means we'd be a great resource for cross referencing with any other minor drafting issues moving forward.

Looking forward to your reply and the on-going synergy between softwares :-)

    Thank you,

    Mike Cook
