WMS 1.3.0 was not fully supported in v8i versions while it was wrongly mentioned in help file that "Raster Manager supports WMS version 1.3."
Now in CONNECT Edition it is possible at last to attach 1.3 version WMS with some issues but now in help file it reads "Raster Manager supports WMS version 1.1.1." This is ridiculous way of solving problems with WMS 1.3.0 implementation by just removing support for it without actually fixing it. An easy fix.
Missing entry from list of What's New and Changed in MicroStation Connect Edition
1. WMS 1.3.0 no longer supported. Use older WMS 1.1.1 instead.
P.S. The Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC) released WMS version 1.0.0 in April 2000, followed by version 1.1.0 in June 2001, and version 1.1.1 in January 2002. The OGC released WMS version 1.3.0 in January 2004.
Why do you all commenting on this idea page. For Bentley the WMS 1.3.0 is marked as supported. So I think nobody is listening here.

The documentation indicates that WMS 1.3.0 is supported in the latest release of MicroStation.
There is an aspect of WMS which happens during the GetCapabilities and it is called "version negotiation", MicroStation indicates which version it prefers during the GetCapabilities so if a WMS server supports 1.3.0 and 1.1.1 and the client asks for 1.1.1 the data will be published in 1.1.1, if it does not, MicroStation will use 1.3.0.

Why it is marked as shipped? It is only shipped in documentation as it is not possible to create new WMS 1.3 connection.
In 2023 it is now hardcoded WMS version=1.1.1 in request so it no longer crash Microstation as in previous CONECT versions. It is called cheating as documentation clearly states that Raster manager supports WMS 1.3.0
Regression from v8i we are no longer able to change WMS version to 1.3.0.
When I asked that WMS 1.3 can't be attached I didn't mean that it should be "fixed" to use 1.1.1 version only.
WMTS is available(but does not work anyway) same about WMS 1.3.0
WMTS is now available in Update 15 with additional enhancements coming in Update 16.

Yes I would like to know timeframe when this will be implemented. I really do not understand the delay as it is clearly partially implemented already in wmsclient module but with bugs so it is no feature request but a bug fix.

Looking forward to this as well. We have purchased services from an aerial imaging company but it seems we are unable to use their wms in Microstation because they are version 1.3.
