There are a quite a number of options when it comes to attaching references. For each attachment I have to make sure that these settings are right. But some settings even have a default value that I mostly never need.
E.g. As I have mostly not such massive models I want my references to be attached "dynamic" not "saved intermediately" (3D attachments) AND I do not need/want a drawing border.
Having these settings predefinded via configuration variable is not really nice her. 1. Not everybody should need an admin training to achieve this 2. I may need to change this "on the fly" for the next couple of
I would like to be able to define a particular set of settings "Set as default" for a given project environment.

Default reference settings can be changed pretty easy in user preferences, but I like the idea of having different reference settings based on the current work flow if this was something we could configure similar to a named expression it would provide lots of flexibility. IE: is2DModel or is3DDesignModel... I know this doesn't make it necessarily easier to configure for "every" user which was one of your requests but it would be super handy for CAD-Admins to better define the way users reference data and keeping consistency within a project/organization.
