Look up or Constrain to Item Types Tool

A lot of Properties can be set / modified from the Properties Panel.
It would be good to have a tool (Call back function?) that looks up or constraints a value to a named variable / expression or Item Type.

An Item Type would then allow the user to leverage things like dropdown menus.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the idea. We need a little bit more information to be able to determine if it's something that could be implemented. Can you give a little more detail on the tool as to element type, etc.?
